I am glad you are here. Each person has a vision of their future or is hoping for a desired change based on their present and future circumstances and goals. I will work with you in determining the skills, resources and abilities that are needed to achieve that vision successfully.
While there are many different types of therapeutic intervention strategies, I see clients as unique individuals and know that one model does not fit all. The relationship and trust that I hope to develop with you is what brings about awareness and change. I draw on evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
I see therapy as a collaborative relationship. I believe in a recovery oriented system of care. This is a person-centered and strength-based approach. I believe in meeting clients “where they are at”. Therapy works because I value your understanding of yourself and combine that with my clinical expertise, in finding solutions and turning these solutions into tangible life goals. Counseling may push you to experience difficult insights, but the ultimate aspiration is for you to live better today and find promise in tomorrow.
