About Me
I am an empathetic, supportive, and solution-focused clinician dedicated in helping my clients to experience psychological growth, gain greater intimacy in relationships, and live more fulfilling lives. I am direct and transparent and believe it helps to have a sense of humor as we navigate difficult periods in our life. I believe in creating a safe space where individuals can feel comfortable exploring and expressing their true feelings in order to achieve adaptive behavior change. I recognize the importance of being culturally aware and ensure that I respect the diversity of individuals, couples and families. I take great care to respect the values and cultural perspectives of those I work with. I view you and your concerns within a systemic lens to explore and identify how various contextual and cultural influences impact your world view and patterns.
As a therapist with many years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients. They include teens, adults, couples and families who are dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief/loss, family/marital conflict, low self-esteem, stress, divorce and co-parenting among other things. My relationship with each client is unique and designed to encourage positive change. My therapeutic style is collaborative and our time together will include setting goals that are manageable and which when achieved will enhance your quality of life. I believe in a holistic approach that focuses on a client’s strengths.
